Job Description:

A leading global law firm, advising clients on significant transactions and disputes, is seeking a highly-qualified, seasoned,  Litigation Paralegal to assist various attorneys with a wide variety of tasks and projects. The paralegal will have matters of all sizes and generally support attorneys in their Dallas/Houston offices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial.
  • Assist with calendaring case deadlines.
  • Assist with and draft court filings and preparations in federal courts and Texas state courts.
  • Assist with document collection, organization, review, and productions.
  • Assist with drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Proofread court briefs and discovery documents.
  • Assist with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.
  • Assist with all aspects of trial and arbitration preparations.
  • Ability to travel and attend trials and arbitrations.
  • Cite-check references and/or caselaw in briefs.
  • Prepare various charts and indices.
  • Coordinate with external vendors.
  • Perform various day-to-day case management tasks.
  • Experience filing in both Texas State and Federal Courts

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with Texas and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Experience with eDiscovery Databases (Relativity, LiveNote, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task, balancing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and able to handle efficiently multiple projects and client matters. simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with members across multiple offices.
  • Willingness to work paid overtime as needed.
  • 10 + Years’ Experience
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program preferred.
  • Must be able to hit the ground running and integrate quickly.
  • Prefer “big law” experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Benefits offered include healthcare, retirement, PTO (sick time/vacation), performance based bonuses, etc.  Billable hours are 1725/year.
