Job Description:

Healthcare litigation paralegal needed to assist with high volume, very busy healthcare practice. Ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of related experience in a law firm environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides litigation and regulatory support to the Healthcare practice group.
  • Document preparation and management including uploading, organizing, and storing materials for review and collaboration with all parties.
  • Drafting, revising, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, researching laws and regulations for various jurisdictions.
  • Preparation of draft responses to questions regarding procedural issues for agency filings; preparation of licensure applications; preparation of certificate of need.
  • Communicating with clients, counsel, vendors, and courts.
  • Familiarity with file share sites for posting documents; assembling and scanning documents accurately is essential.
  • Maintaining and updating client matter files.
  • Monitor status of proposed legislation and regulations of interest.
  • Serving as an administrative liaison for the healthcare group to coordinate work and report on client activity and firm work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification accepted but not required.
  • 5+ years of related Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Office and document management system (iManage preferred).
  • Excellent client services, writing and problem-solving skills.
  • Extraordinary attention to deadlines and detail; research skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently while being an active member of a team.
  • Outstanding case management/organizational skills plus time-management skills.
  • A solid aptitude for understanding healthcare concepts; ability to exercise practical judgment and adapt.
  • Litigation experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

The firm provides an excellent benefit package to include parking in the building. Hours can be 8:00-5:00, 8:30-5:30 or 9:00-6:00 Monday-Friday. There is no billable hour requirement!

Salary range: $80,000-$115,000 DOE
