Job Description:

Growing multi-state defense litigation firm with offices in Texas, Oklahoma, Houston and Tulsa is seeking a driven attorney with a passion for litigation for their Dallas office. The firm specializes in complex litigation and practices in a variety of areas of the law including: construction law, healthcare liability, oil and gas, product liability, trucking/transportation, catastrophic injury, construction defect, premises liability and insurance defense/coverage. If you are a team player, is not afraid of hard work, and wants to try cases, this position is for you! Ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background and/or insurance defense experience, are preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage litigation and case defense from start to finish in a high-volume practice.
Experience to immediately assume mature files is necessary.
Take and defend depositions is preferred.
Prepare and respond to discovery.
Prepare and present witnesses.
Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, etc.
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs with the accompanying research expertise.
Evaluate case strengths and weaknesses and be able to place valuation on the various claims.
Prepare legal opinions for clients.
Trial experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school and license to practice in Texas.
3-10 years of litigation experience preferred.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work within a fast-paced environment.
Must possess a strong attention to detail, experience in analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting legal documents as well as superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
A demonstrated ability to work with clients who demand excellence and be able to meet their expectations is also key.

The firm offers a very competitive salary with full benefits (paid parking and bonus opportunities). This is a hybrid position: remote Monday-Wednesday and onsite Thursday-Friday.
